Fastfranky,

I have had my 07 XKR for about four months and have not had any
major issues with the car. I'm coming from a Vette to a JaG, so it's been a big change. The over-all quality of the Jag is far superior than the Vette.
And the uniqueness if the XKR is well worth the price of admission.

I did have one problem with the car, the thermostat got stuck and was replaced under warranty. With less than 10K miles I would not hesitate to buy this car. Good luck to you.

My '07 has 82k miles on it, I drive it but don't beat it. Other than a new thermostat at 75K miles no problems.

You mean problems other than staying within 10% of the posted speed-limit?

Seriously though, a work colleague has an 08 XKR convertible without any known problems.
I've got a 10 XKR coupe and had some issues with the ACC (known to Jag - they even have a service bulletin re this) that were repaired under CPO.

I know in my old golf (LMAO) broken thermostat = car runs HOT HOT HOT HOT

In my toyota (double LOL) broken thermostat = car doesn't heat up... strange how different companies design the fail mechanisms.

Oh well I could live with that. 85k that's pretty solid. Hope you're not getting rock chips galore
