Default loose outside mirror

I noticed when on a drive yesterday that the mirror section of my drivers side outside mirror was slightly vibrating when at speed, 80 +.
Today I found there is a slight looseness if I press on the mirror surface. Is this a future failure of some plastic bracket or mount?
Has anyone posted with the same questions or a possible repair?

Mine's done this for as long as I can remember, at least 10 years, maybe more...

No.

It wiggles from airflow whilst driving, more wind, more wiggle and jiggle.

There isn't much info to be found in this forum nor other places.
I'd suggest you take the lead for the future!
Take the thing apart best you can and figure it out. THEN post all about the repair and such and have it become a Sticky!

Thinking that the mirror adjustment is done with gears, I gave some consideration to a certain wear pattern developing in oft used settings. (H& V).
So I adjusted the mirror slightly higher than normal. Drove 40 miles, at some speed (80~100mph) without the mirror vibration.
Hoping this does the trick. Time will tell.
