Default Rearview mirror

How do you tighten them up?

Went down a bumpy road and it vibrated so bad I could not see anything out the back, I looked for a tightening screw, but I could not see one.

These mirrors slide onto a clip that is tension mount. You will have to remove the mirror and bent the mount a little tighter before sliding the mirror back on.

This thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...acement-17719/ Should tell you how to remove the mirror. Once off you will have to bend the clip (on the mirror) a little tighter. I can't remember for certain, but I believe someone in that thread did this and wrote up a little post about it.

Well, there are TWO attachment points that can loosen and lead to a shaky mirror.

1) where the mirror stem attaches to the windshield, and

2) where the actual mirror attaches to the stem.

My mirror is tight on the windshield, but has just developed a shake because of a loose connection at the stem. I haven't had the time to really investigate it yet.

Mine is loose where it attaches to the window.
