Ding ding, winner right there. Or a little taller tire (did this). Or put the H+R's back on and figure how much taller you want each corner and have some spacers machined (done that before). Or pick up a set of used S type R springs and Lincoln LS sport spring and swap around until you find the "right" stance (done this too before).

The problems with those $10 U bolts is the stresses where the threads started are where it will fatigue crack. China sticker adds to any concerns. In auto sports the one thing you'll read about as gospel is never bind the coils together.

Well I did find some grade 5 bolts and I will probably switch them over to that with matching nuts. Thank you for your concern though... I just put four new tires on it so larger size and not going to happen at this point0

Check out PeterV8's car. It looks good, just follow his formula.

I did not want to rain on your parade and did the irresponsible thing of keeping quite.
Those U-clamps are soft steel, they are not even hardened, even if they miraculously worked, and no way they do even with your double nutting, you are going to have a mess on your hands with rust and your springs will start to rust where they have been cut in.

Dont do it.

p.s. If you are going this route, do what they did in the picture, throw the u shaped all thread away and use grade 5 bolts.

It is a cheap fix, yes it has some small downsides, which you would not notice, the alternative is expensive wheels.
Unless you want to accept you have a cruiser, and pack that thing with wemin. Then you will get your lowering and who cares what the car looks like. Speaking of, who are you lowering this for.

Adamesh springs lowers 20-25mm. I think H&R lowers 35mm

Could only measure one side cause I parked the car a little carelessly. :-)
Front 69cm, rear 68,5cm

You can do the same thing for $6 using Harbor Freight tools and zip ties.

Can you amend your will for a trustee to post here and warn others not to do the same thing?
