Default Manually Lower Convertable Top

I have a 2007 Jaguar XK convertible that is having an issue reported as a short in the instrument panel.
I am participating in a wedding tomorrow and my convertible to says top unlatched but it is latched. I know that I can use the allen tool to unwind and release the latch but how can I lower the roof all the way down manually?

I’ve never had to do it, but the manual procedure is a multi-step sequence described in the owners manual, starting around page 111. Yes, you use the allen wrench to release the front, but also to release the pressure in the hydraulic pump in the trunk/boot (not stated in the manual is that it may take a few minutes for the pressure to release so you can move the top). There’s a pull loop near the pump, that needs to be pulled to unlock the tonneau cover.
Probably works best as a two person job.

OK. I know where the pull loop is. Once the pressure is released do I manually pull it back or do I use the Allen tool to wind/crank it back?

Manually pull the loop to release the cover.

After what KJ said, once the pressure is released and the loop in the trunk is pulled, then you have to manually lower the top.
This is why it is a two person job.
It has to be lowered from both sides, evenly or you can cause one of the rails to get wonky.
