Default Max horsepower for 5.0 NA

I found the exact car im looking for... color, mileage condition Etc. I really want a XKR but I'm a little priced out on it what can I do to make a standard normally aspirated motor do for horsepower if I can get around 420 450 horsepower I'd be okay with that what does it take? Or can it happen?

Forget the XK. Take the money you would spend on power upgrades and put it towards the XKR. You will never be satisfied with the XK and wish you bought the XKR.

Don't buy anything you can't afford, especially a car like an X150 because it's not a necessity. It's just a toy. The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys!

I forgot to ask - have you driven that XK or a similar one? If not, you should because you may find that it has plenty of power for your needs.

My "needs" always go up to 150 hp more than I have. No matter what.

well the 5.0 na tune is still in progress , I suspect there will be gains after working out some issues . You could just get a 4.2 Xkr 07-09 for the same price as 5.0na car

I have had a 2011 base XK for almost 5 years. The NA 5.0 has a great flat torque curve, and has plenty of power... and gets it down to the pavement without any issues. It is more simple mechanically... no supercharger issues to worry about, no clutch in the diff to worry about... and all of the good looks without the tacked on aero. Honestly, I would buy the car based on the looks... if you like spoilers and side skirts, get the XKR, if you like the originally designedclean lines, get the XK. The XK/XKR is a gt cruiser. If you want to slide around and make noise, get an F-Type or something like a Cayman.

The biggest difference between the XK and XKR is what the factory installs under your right foot. In the XK, it's the accelerator pedal. The XKR has an exhilarator! Woohoo! .

Power needs are in the owners being. For me the XK is a fun way to go get ice cream and not get into too much trouble. The XKR will get your ice cream and a lot more. Just have to sort out what’s important to you.

I ended up buying a 2014 XK normally aspirated. It had everything I wanted the right color exterior the right color interior I really really wanted speedpak spoiler it has that and the extra spoiler pack in the front and had real low mileage... also my favorite Wheels....
