Default Mclaren mp4-12c

Has anyone had any experience behind the wheel of one of these before?

It doesn't seem like the V12 Vantage or DBS will ever come down in price, while the McLaren MP4-12C, although not as pretty or modern-looking as a 570S, has finally dipped below $200k. This is a far cry from the $250k-plus you'd expect for a V12 Vantage or the $300k-plus for a DBS .

Any feedback from owners in regards to maintenance on both manufacturers would be appreciated

I drove a 650S a few years ago and it was like a shifter-cart. Quite an abrupt ride, but holy hell it was fun. I decided right then I wanted one. I've no experience with anything other than that ride, so maintenance is unknown to me.
I've seen some 650Ss as low as $130,000 on Autotrader quite often. That's still about $30k more than I've allocated for myself though.
Oh, crap, I forgot your in 'RooLand. I guess prices here won't help you much, huh? With a 3:2 exchange rate, you'd be looking at $200k anyway, and then the Market Price for down there.
So I guess 'never mind' my ramblings.
It sure was fun though...

Yep, Oz "exotic" used car prices are two to three times the US prices.
And that includes some measly Jags like the XKR and F-Type.

When considering GTRs , c63s, m4, amg gt all slide into that price bracket I can't see another vehicle being as capable, makes it exceptional value for an all out exotic .

Sounds like someone asking a question about a car in the wrong forum just to trash talk the car our forum is all about.

Let's not trash this particular thread as I would love to hear any type of feedback on the mp4-12c

A dude with 30 posts trying to trash a guy with more than 8,000 posts. Cool.

My apologies. I didn’t look at the author of the post so I didn’t get the sarcasm. Lesson learned.

Surprised by the price in Canada with stealth pack (I'd need day lol)

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/mclaren/...%208R9&sprx=-1

$139,833 - I'll bet you could knock off a grand on that lol.

Ya, it looks like some lazy sales twerp scooped some stock mages for the wrong model - I hate when they don't post the pics of the actual car. Shudda looked more closely.

On the other hand, you could buy the listed vehicle for $140k and they would have to sell you the pictured vehicle or commit Fraud.

They're oodles of fun and great cars at an even better price, if it's got the kinks worked out by the previous owner.

Yes, the 12c’s dated but the performance’s still there. Please find a McLaren to drive and you’ll understand why, there’s nothing else like it.

Thanks.
The point I was trying to make, albeit badly using sarcasm, was that the prices of used F-Types in Oz are utterly ridiculous and well and truly in what would be "exotic" territory in the US. Some are over $300,000 AU, albeit for a lightly used late model R.

They are overpriced EVERYwhere.
When the options cost more than the car, something is wrong.
