Memory seats not working
I noticed on my drive home today that my memory seats and mirrors are no longer functioning. I use this feature often as I have one of the settings set to move the passenger mirror so I can see the rear wheel for curb avoidance when parallel parking.
In recent months, the memory mirrors seemed to have real trouble remembering what position I set it at, requiring nearly daily correction. Now it has just completely crapped out. Hitting the buttons does nothing, and I cannot even set it (does not acknowledge on the info screen). The progressive nature of the failure makes me think it could be some sort of wiring issue. What do you think?
I am thinking it could be one of the famous "electrical gremlins" caused by a bad battery. My AGM battery is about 3 years old. The car has been plugged in to a CTEK almost every day that it is not driven, and recently it has been driven every weekday for about 20 miles.
Any idea what I can check?
If I take a step back and look objectively, this car has been nothing but trouble in the last 3 years that I've owned it, and I could never recommend a Jaguar to anyone who fall in love with a car just by the style of it and the way it looks. I do love the car, but it's making me seriously consider selling it and leasing a new F-Type instead, where it will be under factory warranty the whole time!
