Default Missing remote

So I started the car and drove 7mls home and now the remote is not in my pocket! Does that mean it’s still somewhere in the vehicle? Looked all over but I guess I will have to remove the seat ugh.
I assume if the remote fell out of the car before I closed the door and drove home then I wouldn’t have been able to drive home?

Tried starting the car ? If the key's not seen by the vehicle it won't start.

Shouldn't lock with a key inside car. Find the key.

BTW, keyless entry cars can be started & will continue to run with key not present.

So now I’m a bit confused, I can get in and start the car and drive it. Does that mean the remote is definitely still inside the vehicle somewhere?

is it difficult to remove the bottom seat cushion? I think it could have gone down the back join between the backrest and bottom cushions it’s not open to the floor so wouldn’t drop through unfortunately

Yes the remote is in the car. I have 'lost' mine several times. Jammed between seat bottom and console. Very hard to see, find, retrieve but there. Try moving drivers seat forward and raise, then from behind seat (while on your knees) use a bright light to determine exact location...good luck.

The “praying position” finally worked and I found it thanks to all!
I think special Jag trousers with zip pockets should be an optional extra!

Hate keyless entry. One of the dumbest ideas ever.

Keyless entry isn't the issue. Fob management is.

You just saved yourself a minimum of $500+ for a new remote and a reprogramming
