At little late getting caught up on this thread, but here are the new upper/lower front grills. They're from Welsh Enterprises and were chrome which was a little too blingly for my tastes, so I painted them silver.

i personally haven’t seen the larger one anywhere. but if you look at auto wrecking yards or around on ebay you might be able to find one off a car. you could ask chris at mina gallery if they made one, but they seem to be hard to come by. i might sell mine when i get the rs rear spoiler if i like it enough..

Not at all. I just used rattle can gray primer and then sprayed with rattle can silver. Just make sure it's clean before priming.

I got mine used from eBay several years ago. Before that one I bought one of them from Mina Gallery dot com. That one didn't quite fit well enough for me so I got the used eBay one.

As an old time sprayer...

You might find they will peel over a short time..

The chrome probably should have been sanded to allow it to adhere to the surface better....

That's why I said to make sure it's clean, i.e. cleaned thoroughly with alcohol to remove any impurities. I don't know about you, but I'm not sanding/scuffing every little piece of wire mesh.
I did it about 8 months ago. No flaking. It will be fine. If not, I'll let you know...........and eat crow. ;-)

Default side skirts

since no one sells side skirts for the car, a universal carbon side skirt will do, may require some work. going to put it on tomorrow and show how it looks.

I like checking out this thread too...

And the chuckles spawned by rumours like "Supercharged engines are stressed". Tell that to my 4 supercharged engines that get exercised. Now for my one turbocharged engine, it needed the turbo to be welded due to a crack.
We will have to agree to disagree... the car's driving dynamics are fine as they are. Spacers would burden that.

here’s the side skirts, they came out good, i needed to cut them, would definitely look better with the chrome deleted.

I'd say those would be okay if you put some sort of 'mud' guard on the front wheel openings to keep the dirt and debris off the tops. That way the OEM rocker area would stay even cleaner.

does anyone have any experience with the meduza design xkrs kit? or does anyone have an rs front bumper. there is none anywhere on ebay. The only other way i can see making an xkr or xk look like an rs is by wrapping the car and leaving the middle of the front bumper black like on the rs. has anyone done this method? if so is there any pictures?

Default Body Kit

I bought this 2008 XKR four weeks ago. It came with this body kit. I surfed the web and I believe it is from ATBodykits in the UK. I am not sure what you may be looking for but this is one I haven't seen and someone may be interested.

looks pretty cool. the only issue is mine is a 2014 so unfortunately a body kit like that wouldn’t fit, well actually none of the kits they make that i have seen would fit… that is the issue. Most of the aftermarket stuff is for the pre facelift cars

But again, by all means, do whatever makes you happy. Afterall, it's not about money or value - it's about driving what you like. (If you modify yours, we want pics!)

i like personalizing, I understand both sides of the argument though. i have talked to chris at mina and i bought his rs rear diffuser, and carbon front lip. i bought carbon side skirts from an infinity q50 and customized them to fit and they turned out perfect, you could never tell. I have an exhaust and now it’s perfect besides the front end of the car looking a little tame.

So this is so minor compared to what everyone else seems to be doing, my 2013 is stock, white

with the black pack according to the paperwork. I am wondering tho why the bonnet louvres are not black on white like the side vents? Has anyone done it and can post a pic? Or maybe someone with AI experience could post a pic of what it would look like?
Thanks
Alan

I don't think the black pack actually made the vents black. Mine were painted black by the last owner but I really didn't like it as it draws the eye away from the body lines. Here's a picture from the internet:
