Modifying an XK
I've always been concerned about buying any car that has been modified..... manufacturers spend years
Designing cars only for some owners spending five mins with an accessory catalogue .
.. especially our jag's....
But each to their own..

When cutting, welding with major parts replacement with those parts having no godly business where they get put, THAT is 'modifying'.
Replacing worn out parts is one thing
But never change it's structure...
Once I finish up with mine and she it back on the road (4.2 XKR) and clean I will do some photos, I have a 1 of 1 exhaust coming made by paramount performance, its straight piped so will sound awesome (sorry neighbours) as it will be finished with Ashen carbon fiber tips on it like you get on the m2'/m5 BMW 98mm each, the defusser on the back was faded and as I was playing with hydro dipping I have the primers and paint, I dropped it off and its finished not in satin black with 2 coats or 2k clear. With the removal of the old exhaust she was sitting higher so I bought the Paramount lowering springs this will drop her 30mm so goanna have to watch those pesty speed bumps.
I have the complete old exhaust so have that for sale on the UK forums cant say on the CATS though due to a mix up with the provider of the new ones. That's another story.
I have done the centre screen with tesla style, replaced head lining (no you dont need to remove the wind screen) mine will now never drop or sag. LED lights in the interior and a couple exterior lights not all as canbus free does not work you need ballasts, breaks are now cross drilled grooved MTEC, and lastly having the engine cover, coil pack covers and the corner covers hydro dipped in carbon fibre effect. I have treated under the car with lanoguard, the braces for exhaust etc I painted with rust protection paint. no one will see it but I know its good. Done the complete rear end upper lower arms, hubs, drop links track rods. Water pump, all tensioners new belts, coil packs plugs, vvt's rocker gaskets, spark plug seals etc, air filters, fuel fitler, sat here are new snout bearings and SC oil change kit.
Reading that is one hell of a list lol but its a forever car
