No, not yet. Me and the consultant with Jaguar USA keep missing each other's phone calls. Hopefully real soon.

Either way I'm going to take the car to a different Jaguar dealership on Friday to see if they can resolve my problem.

My experience with Jaguar USA Customer Service has been a JOKE so far!!

I've been playing phone tag with this agent all week and all I get is automated emails each time I leave a voicemail for this clown!!

Looks like I'm going to be trading my XK in for another brand REEEEEAL SOON!

Major top problems on the X150 are rare.
Is there any message between your tach and speedometer?

Went to yet another jaguar dealership and they weren't helpful either!!!

Decided to unplug both battery posts to reset the computer after a ABS Wheel
speed sensor replace and wouldn't you know....low and behold THE TOP starts working again!!!
Well at least somewhat. Now I get a latch not closed error message and it only works when the package tray cover is opened.... Go FIGURE!

Seems like you cleared the logic in the controller but now its still functioning funny (backwards with package tray..)? Very weird.
Has the roof logic controller been replaced?
Could it be an intermittent short in a wire?
The dealer had to shoot a bunch of wires to figure out I had a damaged wire that was causing my error. Since the wire repair, I've had no problems. Considering you had body work, is it possible one or more wires were nicked? I wonder if there isn't a broken wire that runs to the package shelf sensor

I damaged the pump trying to get it to manually reset, so after I get that rebuilt i'll take it back and let them do a another diagnosis. Hopefully after the pump is making full pressure it'll all work out without another trip to the dealership....

BAMMMM! Finally got the top working again!

Like your old man used to tell you... "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself!"

Old school diagnostic techniques wins out again against modern automotive technicians!

KJ07xk...all I did was completely disconnect the battery for about 1 minute!! Once I reconnected and went through the manual reset procedure it closed perfectly.

Once I get the pump rebuilt, to make sure that that it is making maximum pressure, I'll be in great shape.

My experience with the Jaguar Dealership Technicians and Jaguar NA Customer Service has dismal! It has really turned my against the brand and I'm probably going to trade the car in and get me a Panamera or a CLS500 or CLS550 in the very near future.

You pay $250 for diagnostics and the technicians missed broken sensors, right in the front of their faces and the most basic of diagnostic rules, when it comes to electrical problems, they don't even attempt!! I'M DONE!

I didn't have NONE of these kinda of problems with my 7-Series! At least the BMW dealership technicians ALWAYS found something wrong with your car in order to bill you....

Congratulations! I would try to find a better Jag mechanic before buying a Benz...my experience with the Benz store was 20x worse than anything Jag has screwed up (so far).

I too think its just a matter of bad luck.. good mechanics are hard to find.. in Dubai, Al Tayer chargers you top dollar for new components and labor.. but in NL I've found a very good one.. they even managed to put in a whole new SCM3 alarm and replace other stuff for normal fee.. .. the official Jaguar dealer was unable/unwilling to help in anyway to replace the alarm system...

this is an old thread but I am having the same issues. ,y top was operating fine until I need to make some repairs to my rear glass. I partially opened the top to set some adhesive to the glass panel which became delaminated. another story. when I was finished. the top was dead. I had my battery charged and still not working. even with the car running at 3k rev, nothing. I finally had to manually close the latch so the car can be driven.

any suggestions?

thanks

Greg

Greg, it sounds like your top is out of sync, follow the directions in the OM to reset it.

Default 2007 XK convertible top still not working

I've read through all the threads did the window reset the 2 front windows, operating like they should automatically going up-and-down. the top says not latched. I manually latched it so it is secure but still nothing from the pump. Disconnected the battery weighted, reconnected the battery , check the fuses all good. The top was working fine a few days ago when I deliberately stopped it in motion to do something to the rear glass and that's when the issue started.
