My convertible top won't move. Help
Greg, you will need to reset the windows after you get the top working. In the auxiliary fuse box behind the center upright section of the rear seat, check fuse 8 to see if it is blown. If F8 is good, then run through the procedure in this attachment.

I took my 2008 XKR into the body shop and now that I have it back my convertible top won't open nor close. The body shop manager says that the battery died and they had to boost the car to start it. It isn't responding the the switch nor are the rear side windows moving.
Went through the manual reset procedures....no dice!
Took it to the dealer....they can't get it to work either!!
Pulled the 2 40amp fuses and the 30 amp fuse behind the back seat....GOOD.
What am I missing?????

Under the box on the center console are 5 relays and 2 calanoids. When my top quit, I took it to Motorocars in Miami for an electrical diagnostic and paid a $180 fixed fee for them to search that area for the problem. Then got lucky. my problem was a relay replacement - damaged at time transmission was rebuilt. Do not know how much time it would have taken to search other areas.
Important - once repaired, must lubricate the hinges on the top and the latch. I use WD 40 dry silicone. Apply with q tips in areas near the headliner and roof lights. If that is too slow for you, spray on a rag and rub joints. Then get a good rubber treatment, I use 303 but there are other good ones. Keep the rails clean and moist. Cannot find replacement rails for older that 2003.
Then I wash the top. Use a lint roller and micro fiber rub to prepare. Then I use 303 cleaner and protectant to keep water out of the car. Apply these products with a brush rather than the spray. The spray will work, I just want to be certain to keep the protectant off the windows and paint.
