Default My Diff is happier. but not happiest.

At 150000 kms it was time for my 3rd differential fluid change.
As the car was purchased with the Jag extended warranty, (6 years) the first fluid change was Jag supplied. And it was thick, black, smelly. Also the amount of crud on the magnetized plug was alarming.
The second change looked much like the first, without the smell and the crud. But at that time I used Royal Purple synthetic gear lube.
And happy to report that at this change, though dark, it was not pasty or smelly nor as “thick” as all previous changes.

I never did install an lsd in this car (I have in my other two). But I have been leaning on this thought for too long. I’m planning for the helical type lsd. With the ford 28? spline 8” diff (not 8.8!) I see there are options beyond the Quaife. (Namely, Eaton). Has anyone tried these alternatives? At 1/3 the price, I’m giving them a second glance.

Cheers All!
