Sorry for the late reply. Been a bit overloaded in other areas lately.
Did you get to the bottom of your searches for alternatives?
The C2D3792 and the C2P25493 pads appear to be identical pads (identical markings, codes etc on the back) with the C2P25493 having the added XKR-S mountings and either type should fit the 5.0 XKR calipers. The C2P26112 should not fit. I have heard that people have used the C2P25493 pads on normal XKRs and report slightly better braking! How the extra mountings springs work, I have no idea but maybe they provide a little more feel. The pad is the same so the actual braking should be pretty much the same.
I did try the higher friction Ferodos and notice that smooth gentle stops are easier without any/as much creaking from the front. A surprising change but it really seems to be there. I'm very happy with the combination of OEM/Jurid front pads partnered with the Ferodo rears.
Hope this helps a little,
Neil
Can you please share Ferodos part number you've used in the rear. This is for XKR-S, right?
After 1 year (and a few performance sessions) of using suggested new pads C2P25493 for my 2012 XKR-S, I replaced them and will never use them again. Here is why. The spacing between the springs in the back is much smaller than my my piston and I could not get them around. As a results, one of the springs broke, the other got trapped under the piston. This happened on both sides. This resulted in uneven pad wear, pitted piston, and the feeling of brake softness that drove me crazy. It was almost like some air got trapped in the system. Take a look at the pictures.
Instead of going back to old stock C2D3792, I installed Ferodo FDB5014, which is almost the same size (1mm shorter) but it's GG rated, instead of stock FF. All the problems are gone now and brakes feel great. Perhaps 2013+ have smaller piston that works better with a new pad design, but not for 2012.
Those pads really don't look like they sat right. Anyway, as you say, the Ferodos do feel better and the extra springs don't seem to achieve much, even if you can get them to fit correctly but add rather a lot to the price of the pads.
Sorry for not replying with the part number before. I didn't see your post I'm afraid but you found the right pads anyway

No worries, going to stick with Ferodo now. Just do not see how you can get these stock springs around 2012 piston. Plus, I do not line the idea of these springs touching the dust boots, they will burn them through.
