Default Navigation DVD shipping problems

On July 3rd I ordered a set of updated navigation DVD's from Jaguar.navigation.com for my 2008 XK.The same day I received an order confirmation by email but nothing since then.

I called the Customer Service number at the company on July9th.The very nice lady I spoke withsaid she did not know why the order had not shipped but would escalate the issue to the shipping department. On July 13th I received a "Ship Confirmation" email from HERE.COM (the fulfillment company for Jaguar.navigation.com) containing a FedEx tracking number. Plugging the tracking number into the FedEx site indicates only that the shipping label had been created but nothing actually given to FedEx to ship.On July 15th I called again and spoke with Robert. After researching the problem for 10 minutes he came back to say I was not the only one having a problem and he would try to figure out what was going on.He said the "investigation" would take a few days and he would call me back on Friday 7/17 (not holding my breath). Robert also said he, customer service, was the only contact at the company and there was no one else I could speak with.

Is anyone here having a similar problem with NavTeq /Jaguar.Navigation.Com??

I haven't used the service in a few years. But this is disgraceful... I'd raise the issue with Jaguar Customer support, directly. They have always been helpful for me.

My plan is to give Robert until Monday to call me back. Should he fail, I will contact Jaguar Customer Service.

I bought the Nav DVDs from them about three weeks ago, received them in less than a week. Weird.

You can buy these Nav discs on ebay either East Coast or West Coast discs as the discs are separated by the Mississippi River. Anything east of the miss river is the east disc, and of course anything west of the miss river is the west disc.

I have a 2009 XKR and bought the disc for the west, paid $35.00 and had the disc in 4 days purchased off eBay. 10 miniute install after inserting disc into nav unit in the trunk. Worked perfectly and was an OEM Jaguar disc.

Lucky you (if you got a recent release). I wasn't finding anything recent with a decent price, so I opted to get the current release, with both discs, as I'm in the Midwest, and haven't figured out which direction I'm going to travel first!

FYI, I sent an email to HERE.COM, and it took them over 2 weeks to reply (just got it today). I asked them the date of the most recent maps for my car, they said December 2013! They said they usually get a new update every 12-18 months, but she had no idea when the new one will come. If a new update comes soon, I would call them back and ask for the new one.

I got my last set of replacement discs from the local dealer; they came with a 10% discount and they installed them for me. Oh, and delivery and installation was about 30 minutes.

Sounds like you have a dependable dealer.

Cee Jay & Kj07xk, That is good news. Maybe there is hope.

I have checked E-Bay but could not find any current DVD's that I was sure were for my car.

Well, HERE.COM finally came through. I received my updated DVD's Saturday. Installation was a breeze. No clue as to why it took HERE.COM almost 2 weeks to ship them.

The person that does the actual shipping, was probably on vacation. :-)
