Default Need Transmission Mount Info for x150

Hey all,
Have a 2007 XK convertible non-supercharged. Took it in for a check up and the mechanic said i had a collapsed transmission mount. They also wanted an insane amount of money to fix it (and a bunch of other things like control arms). Total was $7k, which was ridiculous, the car runs fine and has no faults. While it does need new control arms, i wanted to get the transmission mount fixed first. When googling around and on this forum i cant find anything at all about a transmission mount for this car. Is it called something else? Whats the part number i will need and about how much labor would replacing it require?

Is that something simple a regular mechanic could do? Or is it specialized that i'd need a jag tech?

Video of the issue: https://app.truvideo.com/v/bdGStf?s=644kTSMxD5AMrxBcrvguy52f44VZW+nm

Thanks,
Sam

The bushes are shot. The ball joints, hard to tell. The rubbers are shot and given the condition of the bushes they're probably bad but if they aren't, the rubber boots can be replaced. He video'd everything but didn't show any movement so hard for us to determine what's what. But prolly are shot. Couldn't hear all his mumbling about the trans mount. Do you have vibration in the driveline?

Any competent mechanic can replace suspension parts. The jobs can be labor intensive. I'd ask for an itemized breakdown of labor vs. parts so you know what you're looking at.

What are those part numbers? or where can I look them up, I'll have my regular mechanic throw them on then.

the transmission mount is "collapsed" he said. Transmission is a little jerky on acceleration, especially heavy acceleration, but no faults.

This one XR849534 from Jaguar about the same price as aftermarket, W0133-1656045, I had to replace mine too last year.

Is it complicated? Would i need an actual jag mechanic? Or any mechanic could do it?

I've never been able to find the rubber boots separately. Do you have part numbers and suppliers?

Easy to do, even a non-mechanic handy with tools and familiar with cars could do it.

Rubber boots? It is a fluid filled bushing molded into the bracket.
