Default New leather

Well, I took a chance and it didn't work out. Purchased front leather seat covers from LSeat. Very inexpensive, poor online reputation but...$350.00 for both seats.
I waited and finally received the leather. The covers looked good but lacked a certain preciousness to the stitching.
My drivers seat has been failing for over a year and I had to do something. I pulled the seat, removed oem covers and fit the new bottom cover. Awesome! It looked great and after a little steaming/heating it fit extremely well...I was stoked.
Then...
Pulled the lean back apart and fitted the new cover.
It just didn't fit well, no matter how I pulled, tugged, etc. Instead of giving all the gory details, the stitching was off by 1/4 to 3/8" in various places and in this case these small differences didn't cancel each other out but rather stacked. I had two very loose folds of leather within the center section. Heat, steam etc would not handle this!
Pulled it apart, hand stitched two 18" lengths of 'rope' and then added 1/2" of padding between them. Reassembled the lean back. Steamed and heat gunned the leather until you could here the cow screaming 'stop'!
Assembled the seat and installed it.
The seat looks great if you don't study it too closely.
I can't / won't live with it..
I spoke with another manufacturer and they guaranteed their covers will not have these defishincies. I've ordered just the drivers seat from them....hoping for a better turn of luck second time around.

for those that need to see, shot with a flash, I think everyone can see what I described.

passenger leather (not going to be installed)
passenger leather (not going to be installed)

@IanXF after I receive them (several weeks from now) I'll give a heads up if they are indeed the way to go.

Props for doing this your self. I don’t think it’s too bad but if it bugs you it bugs you and it’s your car. Hope you get satisfaction with the next one. I had mine done recently front seats and door cards. Looked mint but already one ripple but I’ll live with it because it’s 100 times better than it was before.

I think they look great, especially for the price! I've see new Jag seats do the same. I'd keep them.

Same as @jahummer .It looks fine, and frankly better than a tired original one.
And with time the leather will fit .
Have anyone tested this new manufacturer from ebay?
I'm hesitating to order from them as it's a new set they produce..and haven't read feddbacks about these yet.

Any tip welcome.

I'm happy that you are happy.
If my lean back had fit as well as the seat bottom, I to would be happy.
