I replaced an old version of those puddle lights in 2024 because they faded with the new version that was advertised to be brighter and not fade. Installation was easy with no modifications and I'm still pleased with them.

Those are really easy to do, but I prefer the ones mounted under the door that don't skew the image. The door skin has to be drilled and wires run though, makes them a bit harder to install.

@Cee Jay Do the images in the above installations look skewed to you?

Yeah, the tops are splayed out a bit from being projected at an angle onto the horizontal ground.
Place a piece of paper or anything flat on the ground where those shine, then lift up the 'away' side so the light is perpendicular. You'll see the actual image being projected.

I found these on eBay and ordered a pair. I'll let you know how good they are after I fit them.

Cheers, Paul

They look perfect to my old eyes.

I second the request for a link.

It's really hard to not get the version with incorrect angle that assumes the light is mounted vertically.

Those puddle light were my previous type. I can tell you the leader logo fades in a few months.

@badicedog and @wymjym You must have bought the cheaper version, as mine are now almost 2 years old and haven't faded at all. I don't understand why you don't like the appearance within the door panel because they look just like the OEM puddle courtesy lights.

The ones I ordered came from Amazon, they were listed as a '2022 update'.
My car did not have 'puddle' lights stock but rather a courtesy light which has a smooth reflector rather than a project type.
Looking at ebay, looks as if tariffs raised the 16.90 to 29.00 as of today.
As an aside I ordered something from Canada last week, yesterday I received an payment request from ups for import taxes. It amounted to 40%!!!!!

Thanks for correcting me. I corrected my previous post.

My aftermarket puddle lights housings are the same shape as the OEM courtesy lights. The electrical connectors are the same and installation is easy. There's a bump-out for the puddle light's projector beam that the OEM courtesy light doesn't have. Otherwise, they're the same shape.
