2007 XK Convertible

Not getting sound out of rear speakers, anybody had this issue? Is it as simple as a fuse....where would it be?

Thanks in advance and sorry but did not find a thread on this.

Not to sound like an *** here, but did you check the FADE in the Audio section of the TSD?
Sometimes it's the easiest things....

Or DSP mode, there is one for 3-channel that only uses the front 3 speakers.

Hey, thanks!

Once I moved it to DSP I could hear the rear ones better...I had it on Stereo but not much would come out the back even if fade maxed to rear or you could barely hear the rear. Now I can even in Stereo.

BTW, 3 channel soft button on my Audio System has a sub option soft button for Front, Back and All. Maybe it was set to front.

Anyway, things are working great now!

DSP is Digital Signal Processing, you can have the sound output directed at different positions within the vehicle.

Thanks and BTW, I don't have the SAT Radio option or the USB port....

So I have to do the external radio tuned to an unused station thing to listen to my Android music. It's good enough for long drives.

You misunderstand.
DSP is part of the car, and has nothing to do with Satellite Radio or any of that. It's part of the BAL/FADE/TREBLE/BASS settings.

May be not, If I press the DSP button it takes me to a screen that only has three options, all I can do is choose front, driver or all. I'm not sure what it was set to in DSP mode, pretty sure it was on ALL.

If I push the Stereo, 3 Ch. or Dolby PLII I can go to the Bal/Fade screen to adjust where in the cabin I want the sound to be centered/directed toward but my rear speakers weren't working, so it was useless other than to adjust from side to side. Can't do that with the DSP button.

I had it set to stereo, but could not hear the rear speakers. I can now. Don't know why.

But you're saying the DSP is not an option as are the other three buttons? That doesn't make sense, why would they do that?

BTW, maybe you thought I meant that I could not get to the Satellite button. No, I mean I don't have Satellite at all and no USB port,
and if I want to use Bluetooth I have open the trunk, remove the carpeted panels and the cabriolet tray to unplug the Bluetooth
module and plug it back in to have Bluetooth work for a while, I mean not even days, but I don't care about the limited use it has with my Android anyway.

I'm just happy the rear speakers are working now...so yea, it was an easy fix. Now that damned duckbill! Other than that its all good...knock on wood.
