Default 'nother AC thread

My AC quit! It worked last year. Thought pressure was low so I got a Wally World kit with a guage and got it from 20 up to 38 psi on the low side but still no cooling. Checked the 15 amp fuse in the footwell but it's good too. Anybody got a thought before I have to mortgage the house for a dealer visit?

Really need to know the high side pressure and ambient temperature as well to even make a guess of what might be going on. Is the discharge (high side) fitting on the compressor hot? If so, the compressor is at least trying to do its job.

Maybe a "duh" question, but is the fan blowing? Do the vents change airflow as to what is selected?

Yes, the air flow changes with the mode selected. It's like it can't get out of "Economy" mode.

That's what I'm afraid of. The high side stays cold. I was hoping some signal to the variable capacity compressor is lost in the shuffle and can be found without easter-egging all the components.
