Mike from San Jose CA. 2005 XK8 bought on Ebay about 1.5 years ago. Been a lurker on this site a few months before that. I've seen a lot of knowlegeable people and good info on this site. Because of what I read here I decided 2003 and up was the only way to go on an XK.
Question though, do you guys ever set up group buys with some of the manufacturers that sell parts and accessories for our cars? I've done that on another forum (Thunderbird Supercoupe) I'm on and it works pretty well.
If anyone is interested in geting something together some things I'm looking to buy in the near future are:
Stainless mesh grille, Mina exhaust, Tonneau cover and possibly some slotted-cross drilled brakes.

 

The exhaust would be the only item I may consider. Rotors maybe, but you gotta find a time when alot of us need new ones...simultaneously. I suppose you could try.

 

Well, that's 2. If we can get say.. 8-10 Mina might consider a 10-15% discount. That might be enough to prompt others. And if it worked they may be willing to try discounts on other items. I'll ask them.
I just ordered the quad taillights from Adamesh, I'll see if they would be interested in something like this.

As for the group buys, I think a few here n there have tried it with limited success...you're more than welcome to put up a poll in the relevant section and see what responde you get and go from there....the likes of h20boy and others will be glad to help I'm sure.
