Not 100% sure but doubt 19" rims will fit over the Alcons, but at some point I would like to fit 15mm and 20mm spacers and maybe this would allow for 19" rims.

Actually I am not sold on the Cremona styling, I thought the Jupiter's suited the car perfectly but having said that the Cremona's will be a lot easier to keep polished.
excellent news Gary. Congratulations on the find.
Yes, please send photos of the trip. One of our bucket list of places to visit but that will be a while till us Yanks are off the travel ban.
I have 19” Jupiters which are fine but a pain to clean. I’m old so a cushier ride is preferred. If someone in NZ gifted me with the 20” Cremonas, I would be pleased though😎

Day 1 of the delivery home, Woke up to see my new car parked outside my motel room in Alexandra, beautiful day, blue skies and minus something temperature. Packed bags into car, pulled fuse 19 and drive to local auto parts shop to buy a tyre repair kit as I am was not happy about the voyage without a spare wheel and an inadequate means of fixing a flat tyre.

Heres a screen grab of stage one competed today- Alexandra to Christchurch( 450 kms)

The Lindis Pass was heavily gritted for ice, fairy slippery in a few places but such a stunning alpine drive I took lots of pics , hope you don't mind..

Welcome to Christchurch

You are lucky you weren't travelling further north yesterday with the cancelled ferries and the Desert Road closed due to snow!

Thank you, didn't realise you were from Christchurch. Beautiful day you turned on for me here today, perfect weather .Staying another night here and driving north to Picton tomorrow.

Yes I saw the news last night, heard folks had to camp in their car in Waiouru, I dodged a massive bullet there.

Coming through Lindis pass you then pass three alpine lakes before entering the Canterbury plains for a lengthy run into Christchurch of long straight and flat roads.

First one you pass alongside is lake Pukaki and its stunning..

The onto Lake Tekapo...

Lake Pukaki

Wasn't much traffic on the road but there was this...

Lake Tekapo, my favourite

Getting out of car once parked in car ferry, deckhand approaches me and says "beautiful car bro".

Been 10 years since someone has complimented my ride so kinda took me by surprise.
Better get used to it! I get this a lot and it took me by surprise as well. I've had five 911s, a Lotus Esprit Turbo, various M-Bs and several Jaguars in the past but my XK-R is the only one that attracts comments at gas stations, parking lots. everywhere. Who'd have thought a thirteen year old car would still gather so much admiration!

Great thread BTW.

Hey Gary, I'm in the extreme North Waikato, in fact just 400 metres from the county line between Auckland and Waikato district. Moved 5 years ago to get the hell out of Auckland and its mayors incessant wallet emptying of the long suffering ratepayer.

Interesting I see you are in Half moon bay which is exactly where I moved from to leave Auckland 5 years ago. I still go down to the Marina once a month to check if the boats still afloat, will drop you a PM when I am down there again and we could grab a coffee and I could check out your fine looking Portfolio.
