Great shots! What area did ya'll drive? I'm always looking for new roads to cover especially if it involves lots of twists. The Blue Ridge Pky is great from Cherokee through VA but only at mid week. Relaxed but sceanic.

We drove back roads from Blowing Rock up to "The Snake" in the northeast corner of TN, then to Damascus, VA. Great drive! Here's a video of some of the route, found on Youtube:

We've done some of the snake but found too many bikes on it as the video shows......believe it or not we out paced many of them on so many curves it was a pain. Love those back roads though, epspecially the ones the bikers don't know about.

It would be neat to have a directory of local back roads by forum member where traffic is light enough to really enjoy our cars.

Yup - we have four big brakes & four big contact patches. A pro rider will give you a run, but the average biker struggles with twisties. Same happens on the Nurburgring.

Hi, BTW, isn't "Dragon" not Snake?

What time of the year do you guys do this? We must have just missed each other. My wife and I do the "Sharks In the Mountains" Porsche 928 Event every year there for the past 21 years STRAIGHT! Our home base is Banner Elk, then cruise the roads all around Western NC High Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway etc. Our event is always the 1st weekend in June. IF you guys are there then please let me know so we can arrange for the 2 groups to get together at some point.

Cheers,

Dave

Different routes.
The Tail of the Dragon is a good weekend choice if you want to cruise around at 15MPH in all the other traffic going 15MPH.

Ah, didn't know they had "named" another of the fantastic sections of roads in that area. I grew up there and lived there again recently for 12 years about 5 years ago before coming to Florida.

Cheers,

Dave

Nice balance in these low key frames. You are right, for the most part, it is all about how one uses light!
Other than the photos, do you have a connection to the two vehicles?
