Here is the link to Advanced detailing Advanced Mobile Detailing

Also keep in mind there is a difference in thickness between Opticoat 2.0 and Opticoat Pro, but the largest hurdle is the correction before its applied. If you want all of the swirl marks, nicks, etc. removed IMHO its just easier and more comprehensive to give it to a pro.

It takes a tremendous amount of time to detail a car if you DIY and do it right. Many times the professional knows the tricks and what to do, which can make the job go quicker.

Default Full paint correction and clear bra

Max to start the car looks amazing. The paint correction and wheels make it the best looking xkr I have ever seen! I also have just done a full paint correction and a full 3m clear install to the entire car. Here are the links to who did the work and a few before and after pics I took myself. There are more pics on the detailers Instagram account. I'm not sure to link his account but you can google "ammo nyc Instagram " and it's the first hit. If this link doesn't work

Here is some links to his how to vids.

Thank you Russ I appreciate the kind words, the cars been a pleasure to own as I know your GT has as well.

How do you like the 3M product? I know a few people that have used it and I'm considering it for the front. I've been lucky so far with no chips from track days but its just a matter of time before some in front of me gets in the marbles and starts throwing up rocks at 120MPH.

The 3m actually came out perfect. I feel like I have a piece of mind now. I do feel much more comfortable driving the car and am now using more often than not. The only set back is you might loose maybe 1% of the true shine of the car but to me its worth it for what I get in return

thanks for the feedback, I may get this on the car or partially. It can get nasty on the track when you get behind someone who has slid into the marbles and they kick up chunks of rubber.. Luckily there hasn't been any large rocks in that mix... so far.

I used the 3M Film Shield on my Formula F1000 Open Wheel race car. The 3M was apply to the front nose and shock cover/cowling.

After several races, I could still notice were rock chips hit the 3M film shield. I was racing predominately in Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. After a period of time the edges started to come part, and the harsh sun would "yellow" the film shield.

Before choosing the 3M product, be sure to search for competitive film protection. I agree the F1000 looked great the day after the 3M film shield was applied, and there was still a nice shine. However over time, espcially if the vehicle is expose to the outside, the suns rays will take it's toll on the edges and the product. It is not rock chip proof.

Hi fellas. I'm interested in getting the Opti Coat or Ceramic Pro applied. I live in NY. Anyone know of any shop in the NY tri-state area that I can go to? Thanx.

If you have a garage you can DIY for under $80.00. I used both Opti-Coat 2.0 and Pinnacle Black Diamond Paint Coating. The Black Diamond was my perfered paint coating.

Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating

The car needs to be clay barred or nanoskinned, polished to remove any other contaminents then paint coated.

You can find many detail products at autogeek.net.

DIY will save many hundreds of dollars.

Otherwise expect to spend upwards of $600 to $1000 from a professional detail shop.
