My car is completely blacked out except for the wheels. Trying to make it a complete batmobile

Default Tough one

I say gloss wheels with a matte car and matte wheels with a gloss car,

I have the Sentas as well, I've seen them blacked out but I would recommend keeping the nuts on the rim silver... adds a little contrast.

How did you black out the window trim? Paint, wrap or swap?

I'd say Matt black if you're aiming for the evil Batman look.

Long time reader, First time poster -

I just got my sentas back from the powder coater yesterday. I went with a gloss black and would recommend the same. Please do not paint your rims or you will scratch them consistently

I decided to paint the calipers, paint the grill and lower it all at the same time as i was waiting for the wheels to be done. All of this together, really made my XKR look MEAN and i love it.

I saw you tinted your taillights, i did the same. those + gloss black sentas look amazing, you will love them,

Here is a quick shot from my Iphone

looks great!!! how much did you pay to powder coat the wheels? how long before they were ready?

i never considered how much they would scratch if i went with paint vs. powder coat, thanks for the advice.

Which springs did you go with?

I'm torn between some on ebay UK 30mm and the adamesh ones that are 25mm. I also have the Mina RS kit and I'm worried I'll be scraping the front splitter on inclines.

To start, I had bent one of my rims past the point of repair, that is what got me started. I worked with some great guys at American Factory Wheel in San Diego who sourced another wheel, striped and straiten my old wheels and powder coated all of them to match. the whole process took 2 1/2 weeks and cost $1250. powder coating/Strip was only about $500 but i had them straighten my wheels and obviously purchase a replacement for my broken wheel. If your 4 are in good shape, i would assume it will take a little over a week to complete and can be done for 100-150 per wheel.

Mike,
I went with the Mina Lowering Kit, 1.2" or i believe 30mm drop. I do not have the "RS" kit or the factory Aero kit. so i can't tell you how bad it will be. For me, I have notices very little difference in Rub on speed bumps and getting in and out of driveways. But i have also been very careful as i just started driving it again yesterday. I got my alignment done last night, and WOW. The Jag now corners like it is on rails. I am sitting at a 1.3 degree camber they said they could take more out, but that was with in specs. One thing i didn't like. with the car sitting almost on the tires, it is evident how close in the tires are. I will be ordering spacers within the next couple days to fix this.

I think i have caught the bug now... so there will be a lot more mods to come
