Default Parking Aid & Instrument Pack

2011 XKR convertible. First time Jaguar owner, just took delivery of silver XKR convt. I can't seem to activate the parking aid function. How to do it? Also, instrument pack between the speedo & tach shows a clock. How do I change that you get various functions, like oil pressure, water temp, battery, etc?

Welcome and enjoy your ride. 1st there is no instrument pack so all you have is a fuel gauge. The parking aid will activate when you put the car in reverse. Take a quick read of the OM and it will give you directions to change some of the screen functions.

On my 2010 Coupe there is a button above the rear view mirror (I think near the location of the convertible roof button) that turns on the parking sensors when in drive.

Parking sensors activate automatically when you shift into reverse and turn off automatically when you drive forward and exceed 9 mph. Preferences can be set through the touchscreen Vehicle Settings, Parking. If your car has both front and rear parking sensors, you can turn both of them on and off manually without shifting into reverse by pressing the switch in the overhead console. There is no switch if your car has only the rear parking sensors.

If you don't have a manual, there's a Sticky on the first page of this Forum with a link to Topix where you can view the manual for your year car online. See my post #27: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...d-10580/page2/
