Default PCV Valve Question

2007 XK NA. When checking for vacuum leaks with an ultrasonic leak detector, the detector indicated that there was lots of ultrasonic noise coming from the PCV valve. Is this normal, or does it indicate a problem? No codes have been thrown.

Restricted airflow can cause whistling. And PCV valves are a serviceable item.

Default New valve installed

I installed a new Jaguar PCV valve and tested it with the ultrasonic leak detector. It still chirps indicating that there's ultrasonic noise being generated. Since the new valve has good o-rings and the hose it connects to has nice supple o-rings, I don't think there's actually a vacuum leak at the valve. I'm guessing that the ultrasonic noise is probably coming from the airflow through the valve.

However, if someone else tested their valve with an ultrasonic leak detector and found something different, it would be nice to know. Maybe there's something I'm missing.
