Default Performance MODS 2007 XKR

Hi all, i'm new to the Jaguar owners club.
I'm looking to modify my 2007 XKR with the following:

Pulley (upper and lower?)
Tune (Eurotech in houston or other)
Intake (BMC?)
Exhaust (Mina or other) I would guess the car responds well to larger cats
Brakes (lines and then pads, kits are expensive but id like to work my way up)
Suspension (slight lowering, if needed coilovers)

Potentially Intercooler (Not much info on these yet)

Any advice on shops in the Houston Area as well as dyno tested mods that are considered the best would be great.

I like the car, coming from hard core track cars and modded Porsches the car is a bit soft and under powered. Id like to make it a bit more athletic :P

Thanks! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

-Abe

Welcome to the forum Abe,

I've moved your post from XK8/XKR (1996 - 2006) to XK/XKR (2006 onwards) forum. This is the section for your model.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Welcome! It sounds like your performance goals would be far better addressed by starting with the factory hotted up 510 hp 2010+ XKR and then build on that where you feel you want to.

Pulley, tune & exhaust seem to be the most popular on this forum. A few people have gone for the lower suspension, and at least one has fitted uprated brakes (Alcon discs & callipers). I've seen no mention of intake mods (other than filters) or intercooler.

However, as Bruce says, the easiest step-up is to the 5.0 XKR, particularly if you can find one with the Dynamic Pack (Speed Pack bodykit, 174 MPH top speed, stiffer & lower suspension, XKR-S style front uprights) and Performance Active Exhaust. You could spend a lot of time and money trying to get near that combo.

And a quaife LSD to get power to both wheels. I believe Ghostrider has maxed out the mods on the 07-09 models and is right up at 500 hp. Search his posts for more details.
