Smile Pics of New Wheels

I just got my new wheels mounted and balanced today. I'm only going to post a couple of pics but I will post more once I get my Spires springs installed

I think they look pretty good, though, and the cost was reasonable ($1150). They are:

Mach ME4 (2Crave-Mach-ME4 | 2Crave Wheels & Rims) in silver machined.

20X9 with a +40 offset in the front.
20X10.5 with a +25 offset in the rear.

Like others have said, it's hard to find wheels for the XKR and XK but they are out there.

Looks good.
Is $1150 the price with tires?

I wish! Tires were another $490 and mounting/balancing was $100. So, all-in it was $1740 or so.

BRILLIANT JOB!!! Well done.
It really goes with the car.
This is coming from someone who is going to buy $9k wheels. and dont really care for aftermarket wheels.

What tire sizes did you got with?
Do you raise tabakka?

The more I look at your pictures the more I think I could live with those if they made a 21.

It's "jack" par for the course for 18-20" wheels. Mine were $1665 and change
for 20" rims......Add another $1100 for tires mounted and balanced.

Thanks for the compliment!

Tire sizes were 255-35-20 front and 285-30-20 rear.

LOL, I was wondering if someone would notice the tobacco. I currently live in NC and this is a farm that is down the road from me.

BTW, if you are from Hastings in the UK, that's a pretty nice area of the world that you live in. I've hiked the Hadrian's Wall Path and have thought about doing the South Downs Way on the other end. It's pretty inexpensive getting to LGW these days...

looks great, looking forward to the pics with springs too!, how does it feel to drive with the offset pushing them nicely to the edge of the arch like that? I've heard good things from others when running a wider track.

I haven't pushed it really hard yet but it definitely felt sure-footed and there weren't any negatives with the wider wheels. The problem is that the tires it had when I bought it sucked so I didn't have a good starting point for a comparison anyway.

Yes mate its been a bizarre journey. Went from having to climb those cliffs 5 days a week, and hated it, to working in a tobacco field here. As they say a pilgrims path is never easy.

BTW raising tobacco in Carolina's is different than rest of the country- others cut the whole plant and put 7 of them on a stick and them hang that 30 feet in the air. But hey, earlier settlers had to boil and eat their soles for nourishment.

They do look good. Dumb question, but what the distance from your wheel lip to the top of the arch front and back? Mine with 19's is 4.5" front and back.

What were the tyres you had on before? I hated the J rated Dunlops, got on ok with the Michelin super sports and have always had them on my old porsche where they were outstanding however they didnt deliver on the XK so I'm currently running P-Zero to see if I can find something that fits... so far not bad... I kinda want to get settled with the tyres before I modify anything else and I'm torn between spacers or aftermarket wheels... although I'm pretty sure I'd be happy with either if I could find a suitable lower suspension for the 5.0R

Approx 4 1/8 back; 4 1/2 front.

When I bought it, it had worn out P-Zeros on the back and a brand I never heard of on the front. My favorite tires were Continental DWS' that I had on my 2005 XKR daily driver. Great all-around tire, IMO.

This XKR is a weekend-only, dry weather only car so I didn't see the need to spend more to get the Contis. These are the tires I put on this car: http://www.1010tires.com/Tires/Reviews/Ohtsu/FP8000

I didn't know this until I started researching but Falken, Ohtsu, and Sumitomo are under the same corporate umbrella and the FP8000 is a copy of a Falken tire (can't remember which one). I've had Falkens before and thought they were OK.

I've had plenty of Falkens (usually FK 451's) on various cars, found them a good choice especially for a budget price used on weekend cars in the dry like yours. I dont like them when cold so winter or wet weather and they were good enough to get you home but not with any aggressive driving... lots of people tend to hate them but personally I've always been keen on them, they even rank in the top 10 tyres for the XKR based on reviews by owners on black circle or tirerack.com although I cant remember which...
