Pics of New Wheels
I just got my new wheels mounted and balanced today. I'm only going to post a couple of pics but I will post more once I get my Spires springs installed
I think they look pretty good, though, and the cost was reasonable ($1150). They are:
Mach ME4 (2Crave-Mach-ME4 | 2Crave Wheels & Rims) in silver machined.
20X9 with a +40 offset in the front.
20X10.5 with a +25 offset in the rear.
Like others have said, it's hard to find wheels for the XKR and XK but they are out there.

Tire sizes were 255-35-20 front and 285-30-20 rear.
LOL, I was wondering if someone would notice the tobacco. I currently live in NC and this is a farm that is down the road from me.
BTW, if you are from Hastings in the UK, that's a pretty nice area of the world that you live in. I've hiked the Hadrian's Wall Path and have thought about doing the South Downs Way on the other end. It's pretty inexpensive getting to LGW these days...

I haven't pushed it really hard yet but it definitely felt sure-footed and there weren't any negatives with the wider wheels. The problem is that the tires it had when I bought it sucked so I didn't have a good starting point for a comparison anyway.

BTW raising tobacco in Carolina's is different than rest of the country- others cut the whole plant and put 7 of them on a stick and them hang that 30 feet in the air. But hey, earlier settlers had to boil and eat their soles for nourishment.

What were the tyres you had on before? I hated the J rated Dunlops, got on ok with the Michelin super sports and have always had them on my old porsche where they were outstanding however they didnt deliver on the XK so I'm currently running P-Zero to see if I can find something that fits... so far not bad... I kinda want to get settled with the tyres before I modify anything else and I'm torn between spacers or aftermarket wheels... although I'm pretty sure I'd be happy with either if I could find a suitable lower suspension for the 5.0R

This XKR is a weekend-only, dry weather only car so I didn't see the need to spend more to get the Contis. These are the tires I put on this car: http://www.1010tires.com/Tires/Reviews/Ohtsu/FP8000
I didn't know this until I started researching but Falken, Ohtsu, and Sumitomo are under the same corporate umbrella and the FP8000 is a copy of a Falken tire (can't remember which one). I've had Falkens before and thought they were OK.

When I bought it, it had worn out P-Zeros on the back and a brand I never heard of on the front. My favorite tires were Continental DWS' that I had on my 2005 XKR daily driver. Great all-around tire, IMO.
