Pipercross Air Filters
Does anyone have any experience of Pipercross air filters for their XK ?
I was looking to purchase a pair of K&Ns but my local shop (where I get a discount) doesn't sell them but offered some Pipercross ones instead

Why?
F1 cars use paper filters.
You need to be very careful oil does not obstruct the MAF. And nothing filters like paper for engine life longevity.
But to answer your question, no. I was using the other brand in a tuned previous car. On the dyno we witnessed no measureable difference. And then there was always the need to clean the MAF... had me wondering just how long the ECU was receiving inaccurate data and therefore, not as efficient as it could be.

Thanks Guy
I've since done some other research and decided that I'd be taken in by K&N's marketing department.
I've ditched the idea of both and ordered a pair of paper filters.
