1008 XK Convertible
I replaced both rear window regulator cables last year. When I pushed the button to lower the roof, the front windows went down. When I raised the roof after the front latched, the rear quarter windows would raise and then the front windows raised, too.
I had to replace the cables on one of the regulators this week. The rear quarter windows go down as they should, but the front windows do not. Nor do the front windows raise when I close the roof. The rear quarters do, but not the front.
Which is the proper operation?

Have you tried a front window travel reset procedure? If the AUTO UP limit is not set, they will not raise.

 

Forgot to add that I did the window reset a couple of times to clear the issue.

 

I would try a HARD RESET..

Battery is relatively new (6 mos.) fully charged 12.7v. Battery disconnected during the regulator replacement. Reset brakes, top, windows. Today drivers window is now coming up, passenger still not. More fiddling tomorrow. Love these gremlins!
