You could rig a switch to under the seat for when you just want the radio instead of it shooting up all the time.

I have fitted the speed pack spoiler with internal aerial and rigged that up to work using the antenna pack from Jaguar, 6ft antenna stays down at all times. I just need to save up and get the panel smoothed and sprayed.
