problem with tire pressure monitoring system

Default problem with tire pressure monitoring system

Hi guys, my TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) stopped working and I am need of help trouble shooting it. Any help with starting point is appreciated. 2009 XK. thank you

You say "stopped working". What do you mean by that? What diagnostic do you see/have?
If it's just the light on the dashboard, no panic. We've all been through this.
So, there's 2 things:
Or your TPMS sensors are out of battery. then just have them replaced.
Or you have the cut wire symdrom. There's ,on the first years XK, a problem with the wire of the module running behind the bumper and getting cut by a structural piece that's extremely sharp and that ends up cutting the wire. Not a big problem... BUT it involve getting the front bumper down and that's quite a boring task...then just 2 wire soldering and that's done.

You might have both at same time . But in all case, nothing dangerous.
