Now it has whiskers! Slowly working my way to the middle of the car. But I ran out of vinyl wrap. So now I have to actually buy a 7’x1’ piece to be able to cover the side skirt trapezoid.

I really like the way the rear came out. It ties the whole thing together.

as much as i like the green you used, it's throwing me off man lol but i do know 1 way to make it look good is if you put a stripe on it in this color or 2 stripes that stretch from the front of the hood to the back and that's the only way to make it look like it's legit.

Other than that, some of us here on the forum are not going to lie to you by seriously trying to tell you that you might need to consider another color that's a better choice for the color paint that's on your car.Cars literally will not sale if the paint looks like it don't fit well with the car.Just food for thought man cause i really like the design you doing but the color you using seems like it's telling me no lol

Well i mean...it's your car to do what you want and make it look how ever you want it to look. The funny thing about all this is you said it yourself about how it looks like lipstick and some of us was trying to help you fix it so it don't.Only thing left for us to do now is to go get the violin band from the titanic movie to give you a good theme song

I’m not sure how anyone thought that I needed help not making it look like lipstick. That was the whole point of putting on the vinyl in the first place🤷‍♂️. Like I said, Im just having fun with some left over material. Ill wrap the chrome with some matte black and call it a day. In a couple of years, Ill remove it all and do something else. Reading and comprehension are something that I dont expect from anyone these days.

I called my buddy who owns a body shop and the plinth would look best if I color match it to the Color code. I think Ill go that route, in the meantime I matte black the plinth. It does help sporty it up.

Jaguar went body colour in 2012 and it certainly helped tone down the excessive details of the rear end. In fact, they also made it flat/flush and eliminated the text.

I tried painting mine, which was satin platinum being an "R" but ended up changing the newer version.

it makes sense since the clear part of the tail lights were moved to the center of the tailight lense and the chrome strip didnt align anymore with the facelift design. BTW, what bumper is on your car?

All years of X150 rear bumpers are the same, the only differences were about 5 different lower valance options. I’ve got the genuine XKR-S carbon fibre diffuser and valances.

EDIT:

Here it is with the R-S GT carbon fibre plinth and rear camera.

Different angle, and lighting. I found a good plastidip guy to do the wheels in gloss black and the chrome gills.
