Sometimes I am glad I am old, no booster seats need for a bottle of rum and a case of beer, though they are important to.

That, right there. What Stuart said. Have you seen how easily the back seat comes out of the XK? Have you seen pics of a totaled XK? Rumor is that the only reason the back seat exists was for insurance purposes.

Just because you can fit a kid back there, doesn't mean you should.
All things equal an Al alloy bodied XK should fair much better in a total loss accident. But to remove the back seat cushion and to install an isofix child seat instead might be a way to go… will definately try this one, thanks for an idea!

old post by me and not an insurance thing, but yes, others have posted about removing the seat to make room seems worth a try

Your post might be old but I consider the X150 XK timeless😁, so any piece of info is useful for me. I owned an XK for 11years and some 80 000 miles and only traded it in for an XKRS with 15 000 miles and hopefully for at least 10 more years. And my almost 3yo daughter absolutely loves the FRB beast☺️. So thanks again!
