Default Rain sensing wipers did not come on today

Just like the title states my automatic rain sensing wipers did not kick off today when it rained. Where is the sensor located? I had the stalk set to 'Auto' like I normally do.

It's on the windshield side of the inside mirror mount. With the car on and set, run your hand over the squarish sensor and the wipers should activate.

Fixed! As per owners manual "When AUTO [turn the rotary collar to AUTO] and Intermittent wipe are selected , the wipers will automatically operate , when rain falls on the windscreen.
I just realized that I did not have the Intermittent wipe selected [the stalk was in position zero] my wife did this when she borrowed the car today. I set it up correctly, waited 5 minutes and then poured some water on the windshield and the wipers automatically operated as normal.

Note* waving my hand in front of the sensor on the mirror did not do anything.

Has to be OVER the sensor, not in front, as like wiping the glass with a wet rag. It caught me off guard first time I cleaned my glass with the car running.

I've had my XKR for years now..... the wife has never driven it. That's partly her and partly me.
I do drive her Lexus however, when necessary.
