Default Rear spats on front

I thought I would show you the rear spats cut down and fitted to the front arches on my XKR.
Sorry I should be ashamed at how dirty it is, promise to clean it at the weekend lol.

I bought the rear spats a few weeks ago and cut them to fit the front.
Since fitting I have noticed less dirt on the side of the car, particularly at the rear although looking at the picture you would never guess.

Maybe time to try and get the parts to move the brakes outboard ! There must be a few subframes around from rusty XJS cars from the early 90s when Ford moved the brakes. I never liked those inboard discs, as maintenance was so difficult for a DIYer.

This is the X150 Forum, for 2007 - 2015 XK/XKR models.

The E-type (XKE, 1961 - 1975) has inboard rear brakes.

Very advanced back in the day, to reduce unsprung weight and improve handling. Note the rotors on each side of the differential.
