How much of a faff is it to completely remove the rear subframe? next year I am thinking of taking this off to sandblast it and get it painted (probably with epoxy paint) and get a Quaife LSD fitted. I wont be taking it off but can do the painting - is it very labour intensive to take all this off? the font is pretty much done, apart from the parts touching the chassis. The rear has a cross member bolted to the subframe which doesnt look like its removable without dropping the exhaust.
Quaife LSD is about £1000, someone said these can mess up the traction control and stability control but I dont see how that is possible - they will just reduce the amount of time such features are engaged? My 2008 XKRS has the ability to completely disengage the traction control, I think only the RS vehicles can do this. Also on the to do list is get a 10% upper pulley done, thats it for me with upgrades. Fitting the LSD will be done by the Indy - way out of my skillset.
Title says 2008 XKRS... was there such a build?
I was under the impression that the XKRS came with the new style (electronically managed) of LSD...
Though, I much prefer the mechanical solution you mention with the Quaife.
Incidentally, many have opinions to which they have no practical experience... Or, they don't know how to drive a car with TC turned off. Either way, the Quaife LSD is EXCELLENT.

Cheers!
There was a 2008 XKR-S, I wouldnt have said it otherwise and its very good indeed - its surprising so many people dont know this exists - just 200 were made which probably explains the lack of knowledge.
Regarding TC, I believe only the RS models have the ability to completely disengage this, for track use or such - but open to correction.
I am trying to gauge how dfifficult its to remove the rear subframe of these and if anyone has it done?
Cool... I see now, it was a EU and UK only offering. I may have learned this once but forgot.
Incidentally, if you use the search function you will find a few posts about experience in removing the subframes.
