When I purchased my 2008 XK Select Edition, from the dealer, I noticed that the emblem on the center of the steering wheel was slightly indented. They agreed to fix this, however, they are 200 miles from where I live.

It will bee sometime before I'm back in SF, with the Jag, so I was wondering...Does the emblem "pop off" if so, I could return it to its original form and re-install it.

Any steering wheel experts out there?

Watch out for the air bag, I am not familiar with the newer jags but if it is anything like cars i've worked on in the past the emblem has prongs that go through the airbag cover and fold behind to hold in place.
My advice is to disconnect the battery before you try anything.
If it is something you can live with then I would just leave it be.

I do body work as a profession and have replaced countless amounts of airbags.

Good advice, If I inadvertently set off the airbag it would ruin my 2013!

Worse than that if you are too close when it deploys it can very easily snap your neck. One of the first things you learn in a body shop, if you don't know what you're doing don't touch it haha

Update...I just spoke with the Service Manager at SF Jaguar, he informed me that he is 99% sure that the emblem is part of the airbag.

Very happy that I did not try to "do it myself"
