Default Replaced Transmission on my 2002 XK8

I just replaced the transmission on my 2002 XK8. The transmission put in was from a 2003 with 50K miles on it. Now I have had the car over three years. So I am very familiar with how it drove and responded. But I have to say driving my car with the replaced transmission it responds and shifts so much better than it ever did. Some may say its just a figment of my imagination. But it is like driving a different car. IS there ANY difference between the 2002 and 2003 ZF transmission? Or was the transmission just sluggish and worn and I didn't know any better. It really is an amazing difference. I love driving it even more. Just had it painted and the head and tail lights smoked. What a fun car to drive! Oh and also the Motor mounts were replaced because they were in extremely bad condition. Could the motor mounts make any difference to the performance?

Also I was wondering: Just had the car painted. Had the cooling system replace a year ago, fans, hoses, tank, thermostat, water pump, heater hoses and power steering hose. Brand new Air Induction module. Transmission and motor mounts replaced a few days ago. Has Factory Navigation System, Infinity Sound System, automatic transmission and fairly new Convertible top. 78700 miles. What would be a ball park figure on what the car is worth?

Thanks to all the people who have responded in the past and all the useful information I have found found on this forum.

This is the 2007 and later XK forum, so one of the mods may move your post.

I will answer your transmission question. I am not at all surprised it feels like a different car. You just went from a 5 speed to a newer design 6 speed! There was a major transmission upgrade between 2002 and 2003. You will probably notice better mileage as well as better response.

Default Thank You!!

I knew it wasn't my imagination! It really does drive like a different car. Thank You for letting me know this. It's great point to make when or if I ever decide to sell it. And yes I have noticed better gas mileage. '
Sorry for posting in the wrong area. I will pay closer attention next time.
