Engine started overheating, after removing the intake cover, I noticed there was a pinhole in this hose shown in the attachments. I temporarily cut it back and clamped it as shown until I could get a replacement hose (I decided to not run it anyways) Its looking like I have to remove the intake manifold, which is a pain because theres screws on the bottom of the manifold going upwards, which is requiring me to remove the fuel rails now too. I have replacement egr gasket, fuel injector seals, and intake manifold gasket. Am I missing anything? Has anyone replaced this hose before?
Personally I might continue driving the car. Your fix looks good.
FYI on the right side of your large picture about 20% down the edge you can see a small stainless clamp.
That connector is straight line one. Get rid of it. They fall apart. I used 3/8'' copper plumbing tube.
