That looks great to me. Mine is cracked on the bottom, not the front yet. You cannot even see it when you lay down, the car has to be raised to see it. I will drive it until the crack extents to the front as you cannot see it yet, and yes it is backed with duct tape now ... sacrilege ... when it cracks through I will get the Mina piece ...

I'm glad us plain-jane XKR owners don't have to worry about those stupid expensive R-S parts...or do we? LOL...
Gotta love a sunny weekend.......Happy Motoring!

Ugh! What more can I say. I've never known a Jag part to be cheap. Even way back to '67! Happy Motoring...

If any of you guys have a damaged front Spliter ( Diffuser ) that would be good for me to use as a Guide for my XKR-S bumper project .Im working on this next winter , And want to get rid of. I would pay for shipping of coarse It would be apprecated .
And im still looking to BUY a used Front bumper, some repairable damage exceptable .please keep your eyes peeled .Thanks.
If this bumper turns out Chris at Mina is interested in producing it, just like my Seat Deleat which should be out soon . I must point out I dont receive any monetery funds from these projects just the satisfaction of building them and passing on to others. Bernie

I sent an email to Chris , this was his reply.

I have a version that is now being completed, but it is not really a seat delete. I actually had it revised so that the parts mounts without having to remove the seats or anything else in the back. So it will be purely an aesthetic enhancement. I wanted to release this version first to gauge interest in actually having a more complex seat delete kit.

To remove the seat version as I have is quite easy and can be done by ones self or by your upolsterer ,I could help out with that. Bernie

This is my last email to Chris.
So what you are working on is just the top Toneau cover something similar to what I have, I assume ?? .Will it be in C/F I hope , at least for mine. Do you have a time frame so I have something to tell those that are interested. Im constanly being asked about it . Bernie

Hey why not just call the insurance agent and pay the $100 deductible...?

Does the bumper actually have to come off to get the chin spoiler off? I noticed the under body bolts holding it on when I dropped the belly pan. I need to do some repair to the resin where rocks have hit.
Greatly appreciate any guidance.

I just noticed a ding in my splitter and think it's inevitable that it will progress, get worse or I'll end up cracking it somehow.
I'm glad to hear the Mina part is 99% as good as OEM. Going to pick one up as a spare.

Bump.

My splitter was painted black at some point by the previous owner. I now this as when i look under the car i can see the carbon fiber weave on the backside underneath. From underneath it looks like its just a few bolts to remove correct?

Im sure they painted it for a reason but t with some sanding on a lower corner with some wet and dry paper i removed some of the paint and the carbon clearcoat was revealed with little effort.. I figure for the price of a new one i may as well look and see if there is any damage or delamination..bondo etc under this coat of paint. If not i will refinish it...if it is damaged, ill just have it painted black again.
