I started my 2008 XK conv yesterday and got a series of errors including "trac offline"; Restricted Performance" "check engine" light and others. The car started and reved ok but would not drive more than 5 mph.


I had it towed to the dealer who said it was the throttle body that needed replacing. I've done some research and haven't seen too many problems like this in this car.


Have you guys seen this?


What else should the dealer check while he's in there as there are only 6 mos left on my extended warranty.

Standard XK answer #1 for anything 'weird' - the Battery....
Ask them to do a 'Load Test' on it, just in case. Should be at least 700Ah (I think its around 850Ah capacity for a new one).
