Sagging roof lining

You wont be able to tell from pictures. Its common as muck, and reasonable, you can go to any furniture store and see an example. Its like suede. But unlike suede it wont get too heavy with moisture. I had camel suede in my Maserati- it started looking like camel ********* as time went on.
Now heres an idea worth a chocolate frog. How about a diamond stitch pattern on the material you already have, it will not only be aesthetic but all functional in making sure it doesnt sag anytime soon. On new foam of course.

I've been thinking about the diamond stitch and unsure how good it would look it might perhaps look a little too busy
Ps I've always wanted a suede roof
