I want to thank everyone (you know who you all are) for the assistance in enabling Portable Audio/USB and AUX.
My Indie shop was able to do it for the low low price of $345.
In case anyone was following along, this was via a remote session with Autologic.
Success!
At this point I have to say, I am about $1100 all in.
So if you have an 07-08, without SDD access, just be aware.
Now off to make the detailed videos.
Won’t be until probably this weekend as I have had a nasty ear infection which brought with it mild Bell’s Palsy… so coordination, clear thinking and not talking a bit funny is with me for a bit more.
Once that clears up, I will be jumping right on getting the Mr12V installed and making those videos!
UPS should deliver my Mr12Volt box tomorrow, so I look forward to watching your install. I'll get my son to give me a literal hand in the install process.
@Cee Jay the biggest PIA for your son will be placing the bypass loop in the iPod module. Apparently real close to the hydraulics in the boot of your vert. That won’t be in the video of course. The rest should go smoothly.

@Circumnavigator , go rent a convertible and perform the bypass loop replacement in the iPoo module and record it!

(No, that wasn't a typo)
Haha!
I have a convertible!
Just for you I will pretend I’m doing it. (Remove the cover and show the spot since that part of their video stinks.
I have zero video editing skills, so stitching in their Install showing the bypass ain’t gonna work. Maybe I’ll clip theirs as a Step 2.a or something.
EDIT:
I see arena mentioned it was difficult.
i opened it up and tried to get a good pic.
Arena, any chance you would be able to add some closeups to identify which connector and what it looks like in a vert? Psgr side trunk, Cover pulled back. Nowhere as much room as in their video.

I found this step to be the most difficult part of the process. When you remove the connector from the module you need to disassemble the plug to be able to connect the loop. I broke mine. Once the loop is connected it’s not necessary to to plug back in to the module…just sayin’
Yeah, I meant a 2010+ convertible. I'm old and slow.
No worries. I’d guess that spot is the same.
So not much space to put the box. I’d guess right next to the hydraulics there.
The video isn’t an X150 for the bypass part.
But that gray foam on the top is in mine, squished on top of the hydraulic box.
