Default Search for Recalls, Investigations, Complaints, and TSBs

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has recently made Early Warning Reporting (EWR) information available through a new search engine. Here's the link: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchSafetyIssues

The multi-selection search tool lets you search NHTSA's databases in the following categories:
  • VIN #
  • Vehicles by Year, Make, Model
  • Child Restraints
  • Tires and Equipment
  • Keyword
  • NHTSA ID#
Searching Vehicles by Year, Make, Model brings up the following tabs for more information:
  • Recalls
  • Investigations
  • Complaints
  • Service Bulletins
All the Jaguar TSBs are listed, however, they are merely summaries without complete details. As for the X150 4.2L XK/XKR, the only recall I found was for 2007-2009 models equipped with run-flat tires because the TPMS was turned off by the factory. There were 14 TSBs and no investigations or complaints.

P.S. Ralphwg is right. Certain model year 2011-2014 XK convertibles manufactured October 1, 2010, through August 1, 2013 were recalled.

My 12 vert has been the subject of two recalls. The first was to replace the module that contains the convertible top button. That was more than one year ago. Within the last two weeks there was a voluntary emissions recall - program code J038 for 2010-2012 xf and xj model vehicles and 2010-2014 xk vehicles.

This recall is not so voluntary in CA. If your car is registered in CA you will need to provide the dmv with a certificate proving that you have had the modification done to the car prior to getting your registration renewed. The dealer will provide the certificate.

Hmmm... I think there is a TSB PDF file in maxima's condensation in headlight thread. Yes! I printed it off and my jag dealer promptly replaced them....with headlights that have again started to show condensation .
Not sure if there is a water pump TSB or not?!?
