And Im glad that I have one of the first. Wish it were an XKR but I have other cars to buy. Someday in the future, when Im gone. The base x150 will be a desireable heap of obsoleteness.🤣

That car was just a "no sale" on Bring A Trailer. Beautiful car and photos. Great color!

Nice color, but at $31000 you can buy a 2015 F-Type S:

Umm, you could buy a lot of things for $31000, if you wanted to. If you’re in this forum, an F-Type might not be on your shopping list.

Exactly. It's not as if the F-Type is superior somehow. It's different. I considered an F-Type, looked at a few, drove one and then ruled it out. Nice enough car but it is a sports car not a GT and I wanted a GT. If I'd wanted a sports car I'd have gone for another 911 (had five already and love them) as it's the same size, more or less, as an F-Type, similar sort of car, but the 911 is a Porsche. So although I tried to persuade myself that an F-Type would suit, I eventually realised I definitely wanted a GT. It also had to be a beautiful car to look at. In the end, nothing made as much sense to me as my XKR.

I had no preconceptions about colour and trim so I looked at anything that was for sale, ruling them in or out on condition, price, spec, history etc etc. I decided early on that, for me, the lighter coloured interiors appealed to me more than darker colours, that I didn't want wood (I have that in my X-Type and love it there) and that I liked the look of the Senta wheels a lot. I found a beautiful car in black and very nearly bought it, but then I remembered my last (and only) black car and how it needed cleaning every day thanks to the UK weather and the fact I live in the countryside surrounded by farms and mud on the roads. That put paid to black. Looks stunning when clean, awful when dirty.

In the end, I saw a Lunar Grey with Ivory and Aluminium trim and Senta wheels. The mileage, history and price were good, so I bought it on the spot and have loved it since. Oddly, Lunar Grey was a colour I had pre-decided I didn't want, but when seeing it in the metal thought it looked stunning for the shape of the car.
