Seat Recline Issue - 2012 XK
I have a 2012 XK convertible. The passenger seat recline has an issue. It will not return to a full upright position. It acts like the limit switch is out of adjustment as the seat will only come back up part way.
It does not act like it is an issue with the motor or the actuator switch. It just hits a certain spot and stops when attempting to bring the seat to the upright position.
I did a quick search and cannot find this issue in the forum. Has anyone experienced this issue?
Thanks in advance and regards,
WillySwan

Weird as remember reading multiple threads on this same issue.
I had this issue with the passenger side if my UK car on purchase in 2018
My Indy changed the battery (which I supplied) did a hard reset and then held his finger on the seat back forward (incline?) button for 10 seconds and it then started working as it should. They said it was probably due to an FB (NOT facebook) passenger trying to recline and the module shutting down in protest
They didn't charge me for this, but their diagnostic charge is £85+vat per hour. With only certain jobs having a preset amount, for example coding a new fob (being done thia Friday) is £75+vat whereas my main dealer...even with my 15% discount is double that.
From my experience of 15yrs of jag ownership I've not found an independant vehicle electrician with SDD, but this could be as I live in 'the sticks'
