I wonder if I have misunderstood: you drive your car rarely; you had a seat calibration problem caused by low battery voltage, an airbag light, and "many errors" related to low voltage...but you will not use your CTEK daily?
One of us is confused. Is it me?

Ah! I misunderstood you. A very good decision, I think. My XK has been on the CTEK for the last 4 years when not in use, and I have had no a single problem with the car, either electrical or otherwise. I can only attribute the electrical integrity to the CTEK, of course. But to even things up, tonight my wife left the lights on in her X-Type and ran the battery down. An hour on a quick charger and all is well but I will put it on the CTEK tomorrow just to make sure it is at full strength.

This was all repaired within an hours rate.
thanks to all the help in regarding to this problem...
AH HA!! I have the same problem, and I just had a new battery installed. So off to the dealer I go armed with knowledge. thanks.

Thumbs up always glad to help

Awesome, I know I did a lot of research on this issue from this forum, in fact when I met the Jaguar mechanic, the first thing I instructed him was about the seat calibration portion, of which he immediately agreed and that he has seen this issue before with other jaguars...good luck..

Just got mine recalibrated by the dealer this morning. When I told the tech it was a recalibration issue due to battery replacement he dismissed that idea. He assumed I tried to jump the car and did some electrical damage; which I had not done. A quick trip to the computer confirmed your advice on causation, and he reset it. All's well that ends well.
